Chiropractic
Chiropractic healthcare is a "hands-on" approach to relieve pain and assist the body's natural healing process through the diagnosis and treatment of the neuromusculoskeletal system.
Our Doctors of Chiropractic have extensive training in the areas of Anatomy, Physiology, Neurology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Radiology and Kinesiology - and are required to continue their education and training on a yearly basis to stay current with the best techniques available.
Before chiropractic treatment begins, our patients are given physical examinations, diagnostic imaging, and a thorough evaluation of their medical history to determine if chiropractic care is the best solution.
At Spinal Care Chiropractic Center, our doctors practice a variety of techniques: Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Cranial Sacral (not Upledger), Gonstead, Logan Basic, and Acupuncture.
Acupuncture
Based on an ancient practice dating back 5,000 years, modern acupuncture is used to treat a variety of pain and illnesses, as well as to increase an overall sense of well-being. Common health problems that may benefit from acupuncture include: chronic pain, headaches/migraines, lower back pain, fibromyalgia, gastrointestinal complaints, and sinus/allergy problems. Dr. Hanson is certified by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners to perform acupuncture in a clinical setting.

By combining this information, he will utilize specific dietary regimen and supplement suggestions for correcting nutritional deficiencies supports you on your journey to a much healthier life.
Rehab Pilates
Pilates is a popular physical fitness program first developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. Exercises teach proper breathing, alignment of the spine, and the strengthening of deep torso muscles, which are important to help alleviate and prevent back pain.
Pilates is also used in rehabilitation for injuries plus chronic conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. Dr. Hanson has been trained in the use of Pilates for rehab.
Pilates rehabilitation works for many reasons. The great attention to detail and form is a perfect way for a client to gain strength in the weaker or injured muscles and joints. Pilates is gentle on the joints, so there is little worry of over stressing an already stressed body. Pilates also develops the smaller muscle groups that work to support joints and bony structures. And because Pilates builds a body awareness, chronically weak and imbalanced muscles become equally strong.

For those who do not need rehab but are interested in Pilates we refer our patients to Pilates on Pinecroft. Their website is www.pilatesonpinecroft.com. They are located across the hall from our offices.
